The STP controls window defines various parameters that are required for successful communication with the ATO. These parameters identify your upload firstly to the intermediate gateway and then onto the ATO. They are the means by which the ATO is assured that you are using ATO approved software for your STP communications. As these are critical to your success, they are unable to be modified, however we provide this view only screen for troubleshooting purposes in the off chance something is not working correctly.
The STP controls record should have the following window with all fields filled in:
There is one element of this window that is editable. That is the “Live Mode” checkbox. Once that box is checked all pays subsequently submitted via the STP screen will be going through to the ATO and you will be officially compliant with STP. That is all that is left for you to become compliant. Check the “Live Mode” checkbox and click the save button.
