Job Costing

Job costing module is designed to record activities that contain labour. If your company is selling labour then use the job costing module. Do not sell labour using the inventory module.

The job costing requirements are as follows:

1.Create a quote using the quoting module. The quote numbe will be used as the job number if the quote is accepted by the client.

2.Create a new job from the quote.

3.Add the job details separated into Cost centers for reporting, Variations for recording changes to the original contract and work orders for recording actual job expenses.

4.When creating a new job a default work order is also created with a WO number 'WN1234" where the 'W' indicate a work order, the 'N' is the branch No and 1234 represent the job No.
